Trek To The Siroua Massif In 6 Days

Departure around 8am. for Col Tichka, lunch in the village of Tamlakout: a small oasis nestled in the heart of the valley. After a meeting with the muleteers, departure from Tamlakout up the dry wadi, overnight in tents near the village of Tamazirt. 5-hour drive, 2-hour walk.

The group continues over an undulating plateau cultivated with barley and wheat to the village of ait TIZOUAD; lunch. Still crossing plateaus, we arrive at the pretty stone village of Ait Tigga, nestled into the hillside; climb to the last village in the valley, Aît Ighmour. Short climb to Tinalimt, magnificent scenery. Continue to our camp on the Maous plateau. 5 hrs 30 mins walk.

An easy ascent to the Siroua summit (3305m). Our cook brings us a picnic lunch, and the climb is not long enough to require any technical means. The view of the Toubkal range, Saghro and Jebel Bani is absolutely splendid and spectacular. Then the descent to the Azib N'tizgui bivouac on the banks of the wadi. Overnight in tents. A 6-hour walk.

Descent to the beautiful village of Tizgui. Possibility of visiting the collective granary in the middle of the cliff. Down the Tagouyamt wadi. Arrival at the village of the same name, a large agricultural village bordered by numerous terraced gardens where saffron cultivation dominates. Overnight in tents. 5-hour walk.

We cross a long plateau leading to the beautiful villages in the heart of the Tislit valley. Lunch near the village of Ihoukarn. Meeting with the Berber population before the end of the hike. Overnight in the village of Ifran. 5 hrs 30 mins walk.

After a leisurely breakfast and greetings from our muleteers. Transfer to the Col de Test (2100), then down to the small town of Asni for lunch and on to Marrakesh.
